Countries waive quarantine for Vietnamese travelers

(VOVWORLD) - Thailand, Russia, France, and Maldives are among a handful of countries to have waived mandatory quarantine for travelers from Vietnam.

The Thai government announced it would exempt quarantine for tourists from 17 more countries and territories, including Vietnam from Monday as part of its tourism reopening policy. With the latest additions, the total number of countries eligible for quarantine-free entry into Thailand has increased to 63.
The Russian government has also listed Vietnam among 48 countries and territories whose visitors are exempted from 14-day quarantine.
Vietnamese tourists must furnish a negative PCR test for Covid-19 no older than 72 hours before arrival. They are required to wear a mask in public, including on public transport and in malls.
Maldives only requires visitors from Vietnam to present a negative PCR test done within 96 hours before departure.
