The Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control and the Prime Minister's Special Working Group met online on Friday to discuss how to strengthen the forces.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam told the meeting that the strengthened armed forces and Ho Chi Minh City's anti-pandemic forces must work together to take care of the people.

“We must follow the Prime Minister's orders. All forces’ movements must be agreed by the City and the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Health. There must be very detailed regulations. If it is not well controlled, the disease will spread. It is necessary to increase testing for these forces. Other forces going out to the streets must be tested regularly.”

Deputy Prime Minister Dam asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Transport to coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City in the next two days to prepare more goods to be distributed to each district, ward, and commune while people are staying home during social distancing.
