COVID-19 cases surge in India
(VOVWORLD) - India is seeing a surge in COVID-19 cases, with more than 6,000 new cases and 11 deaths in the past 24 hours, according to India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The daily infection rate is currently at 3.39% and the number of active cases has increased to 28,300.
Minister of Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya urged Indian authorities and people to stay alert, and localities to conduct simulation training at health facilities next Monday and Tuesday to fight COVID-19.
