(VOVWORLD) -The Ministry of Health said that from 7pm on Saturday to 12noon on Sunday, Vietnam confirmed an additional 1,240 new COVID-19 cases, including 2 imported cases in An Giang (1) and Ba Ria Vung Tau (1).
Ho Chi Minh City detected the most with 1,043 cases of Covid-19. Out of 1,238 cases recorded in the country, 916 cases were detected in quarantine or lockdown areas.
As of 12 noon Sunday, Vietnam recorded a total of 29,103 COVID-19 cases, of which 27,185 cases were locally transmitted and 1,918 imported cases.
To date, Vietnam has declared 9,204 COVID-19 patients cured, but 112 patients have died.
