Hanoi continued to lead the daily caseload with 2,756 new infections while HCM city, once the largest hotspot in Vietnam, reported only 66 new cases. 

8,500 patients were declared free from COVID-19 the same day, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,102,456. 

More than 181 million doses of vaccine have been administered nationwide. 76.9% of the population have been fully vaccinated and 29.4% have received a booster shot.
