COVID-19: Vietnam reports 11,521 new cases, 9,900 recoveries on Friday
(VOVWORLD) - 11,521 new infections were recorded in Vietnam from 5:00 p.m. on Thursday to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, said the Ministry of Health. 15 cases were imported and 11,506 cases were locally-transmitted, Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong reported nearly 10,000 cases.

In the past 24 hours, the number of infections recorded in the country increased by 1,024 cases. 9,914 patients were declared cured and there were 212 deaths during the day.
Since the outset of the pandemic, Vietnam has reported a total of 667,650 infections, ranking 47 of 222 countries and territories. By the ratio of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranked 156 of 222 countries and territories (on average, there are 6,786 cases for every 1 million people). Total number of cured cases is 433,465.
