(VOVworld) - Crown Prince of Norway Haakon Magnus and Crown Princess Mette-Marit left Ho Chi Minh City on Friday wrapping up their official visit to Vietnam.

During his stay, Crown Prince Haakon Magnus held talks with Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, paid courtesy visits to President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, and visited Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City. At the meetings, Vietnamese government leaders said the visit marked an important milestone in traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation. They noted that Vietnam will do its utmost to make the bilateral ties more effective adding that in its external relations policy, Vietnam always attaches importance to strengthening the relations with North European countries including Norway.
