(VOVworld)- The Cuban government reiterated its unconditional support for Venezuela Tuesday, one day after the US imposed sanctions on 7 Venezuelan officials. Cuba condemned sanctions imposed by the United States against the government of President Nicolas Maduro, which it described as “unacceptable and unjustified”. According to the Cuban statement, the sanctions are retaliation against the Venezuelan government’s response to US intervention. Cuba reaffirmed its support of the Venezuelan people and government, saying no one has the right to intervene in the affairs of a sovereign nation. In response to the sanctions, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said this is the most unreasonable intervention by the US government in Venezuela’s affairs in the last 2 years. He said that this hostile policy is aimed at ousting Venezuela’s current government and Venezuelans will do their utmost to defend their country
