(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue’s official visit to Cuba has been covered by Cuban media, which predicts it will deepen the six-decade solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and mutual trust between Vietnam and Cuba.

The news agency Prensa Latina, Granma, the daily run by the Communist Party of Cuba, and the popular website Cubadebate have covered Mr. Hue’s visit, which coincides with the 62nd Cuba's Giron victory, which marked a decisive turning point advancing Cuba to the path of socialism building, and the establishment of Cuba’s 10th National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP). Mr. Hue is scheduled to deliver a speech at the ANPP in Havana.
The press said Mr. Hue’s visit has the special attention of Cuba’s leaders and people. Cuban public opinion sees Mr. Hue’s visit as an assurance that Vietnam will always stand side by side with Cuba, the ‘Island of Freedom’, and continue the tradition of solidarity, support, and comprehensive cooperation between their two peoples.
Chairman Hue left Hanoi on Tuesday morning to visit Cuba, Argentina and Uruguay.
