At the meeting, representatives of agencies gave detailed opinions on cultural and artistic activities such as organizing a songwriting contest or songwriting campaign about the Vietnam National Assembly and the People's Council, an art program honoring the National Assembly, and the Vietnam National Assembly television singing festival.
Concluding the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue urged quick establishment of subcommittees to carry out tasks, including the Subcommittee on Culture and Arts headed by National Assembly Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong.
He agreed on the organisation of a songwriting competition on the legislature and People’s Councils, saying young musicians should be encouraged to join the contest, scheduled to be launched within this month.
The NA Chairman assigned the NA Office to organise activities, helping musicians learn more about the operation of the legislative body and People’s Councils.
