“Culture and Tourism Week of Vietnam’s Sea and Islands – Hanoi 2014" to be held
(VOVworld) – 14 provinces and cities will take part in a “Culture and Tourism Week of Vietnam’s Sea and Islands – Hanoi 2014”, scheduled to be organized at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts from November 21st to 23rd.

This is part of activities to mark Vietnam’s Cultural Heritage Day, November 23rd held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. At a press briefing in Hanoi on Friday, the organizing board said the event includes an exhibition, themed “Heritages of Culture and Tourism of Vietnam’s Sea and Islands”, and “Building and defending the fatherland’s sea and islands”. Art performances and a forum with young people on the homeland’s sea and islands will also be held. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Deputy Head of the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts, said: “The “Culture and Tourism Week of Vietnam’s Sea and Islands – Hanoi 2014” is a large-scale event. It aims to honor heritage of Vietnam’s sea and islands, build and defend the sovereignty of the fatherland’s territory. Provinces and cities will highlight the beauty and potential of their sea and islands’ culture”.
The Culture and Tourism Week also aims to make people especially the young, become more aware of their roles and responsibilities in protecting the homeland’s sea and islands.
