Da Nang finances 4.4 million USD for COVID-19 affected people
(VOVWORLD) - Da Nang city will spend 4.4 million USD from their budget to support about 100,000 local residents affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The support package will be deployed this month.
 The aid package will be implemented immediately in July. |
Nguyen Van An, Director of the municipal Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, said there will be three groups of people receiving the funding. They are revolutionary contributors and social beneficiaries, workers, and business households at night markets.
The funding will be from 22 USD to 65 USD per person. Each business household at night markets will receive 130 USD.
Although Da Nang hasn’t applied social distancing measures since the outset of the fourth wave of COVID-19 at the beginning of May, some industries have temporarily been suspended to limit the risk of spreading the disease.
