Bach Dang street, one of Da Nang’s most crowded streets, is now quiet. Le Truong Son of Hai Chau 1 ward, Hai Chau district, said, “We were worried at first but now we’re not anymore after hearing the government’s updates. People are wearing masks, implementing social distancing, and following health recommendations.”
Restaurants are only selling food for delivery, are strictly following sanitary recommendations, and keeping a safe distance from customers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, owner of a chicken rice restaurant in Lien Chieu district, said, “We stopped serving customers at the restaurant right after receiving instructions from the People’s Committee. We all wear face masks and gloves and maintain a safe distance from customers.”
In traditional markets, only shops selling food are open. Inspections have been increased at market gates.
