Local people are eagerly anticipating this big event and hoping that APEC will bring Vietnam new cooperation opportunities, especially in tourism.

Nguyen Dang Dung, a Da Nang resident said: “I’m very proud that Da Nang is hosting the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week, a great opportunity to make the city better known by the world as a top destination for tourism and investment in Vietnam. I hope this event will bring more development opportunities to Da Nang.”

Nguyen Long Vinh, a third year student at Dang Nang Architecture University, will volunteer during the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week: “Students from my university will welcome APEC delegates at resorts and hotels. I am proud to be one of the young people representing Da Nang during the APEC week. I hope we can promote Da Nang, one of the most livable cities in Vietnam to our foreign friends.”
