Da Nang targets fully vaccinating adult residents by year-end
(VOVWORLD) - The central city of Da Nang aims to complete giving two shots of the COVID-19 vaccine to all residents over 18 years old by the end of this year, according to the city’s Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The committee said 67.6% of the city’s adult population of more than 826,000 has been inoculated with one shot and 9.4% or some 78,000 have been fully vaccinated.
The municipal Department of Health said it has received more than 680,000 doses of vaccines of all kinds.
The city will speed up the vaccination pace to give one shot of vaccine to 95% of the adult population by the end of this month and 100 percent by the end of next month, while the rate of full vaccination will reach 22.1%.
In addition, it will also be proactive in securing vaccines to ensure that 90% of residents from 12 years old and above, are fully vaccinated, the committee said.
