Delegation explores investment opportunities in Thai Nguyen
(VOVWORLD) - A delegation from the European Union (EU), the Netherlands, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore held a working session on Thursday with leaders of Thai Nguyen province to explore potential investment opportunities there.

High on the agenda were projects related to landslide prevention, safe water, wastewater treatment, and the tea industry.
Dutch Ambassador to Vietnam Kees van Baar said many Dutch enterprises are interested in developing the semiconductor industry in Southeast Asia, particularly in Vietnam and Malaysia.
He said the Dutch Embassy is ready to act as a bridge between Thai Nguyen and Dutch firms.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Mai Phuoc Dung said Singapore is one of Vietnam's largest investors, but there aren’t many Singaporean businesses in Thai Nguyen yet.
Dung promised to introduce more Singaporean companies to Thai Nguyen in the future.
At the session, local tea producers and traders expressed their desire to expand their export markets to EU countries.
