(VOVworld)- Tens of thousands of people took to the main streets in Seoul on Saturday to demand President Park Geun-hye to step down.

The protestors asked relevant agencies to speed up investigation into the role of Samsung Electronics Group’s Vice President Lee Jae-yong in the nation's biggest political crisis.

They held banners and called for an immediate arrest of President Park Geun-hye and Lee Jae-yong.

Another demonstration involving about 10,000 people took place in Seoul to support President Park and reject her impeachment.

Dozens of police vehicles and hundreds of policemen were mobilized to ensure that both demonstrations are peaceful.
