Deputy Defence Minister receives UK defence attachés
(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Defence Minister Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on Monday for outgoing UK defence attaché Colonel David Houghton and his successor Col. Beatrix V.H. Walcot.

Vinh thanked the UK Defence Ministry for helping Vietnam set up a Level-2 field hospital in South Sudan, and training Vietnamese officers for the United Nations peacekeeping mission.
To make bilateral defence ties a pillar of the Vietnam–UK strategic partnership, Vinh suggested increasing high-level visits, to increase mutual understanding and collaboration.
