Mr. Binh made the statement at a conference in Hanoi to review the National Civil Aviation Security Committee’s operations in 2018 and outline plans for 2019. The Committee was asked to update laws and regulations on aviation security to accord with international regulations, and to adopt new technology for aviation security management.
A Committee report says that the domestic air transport market grew steadily in 2018, with 50 million passengers carried, up 26% from the previous year. Vietnam's aviation market consists of 68 airlines from 25 countries and territories and three Vietnamese airlines operating 130 international routes.
