(VOvworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh on Sunday held a dialogue with fishermen of Canh Duong village in Quang Binh province on the compensation for marine pollution caused by Taiwanese Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation in late June.

Mr. Binh shared in difficulties due to the marine environmental incident with the living of the people in four central provinces including those from Canh Duong.
He reiterated that the government and the prime minister have instructed ministries, agencies, and provincial authorities to promptly implement measures to help fishermen gradually stabilize their lives, issue compensation levels for the incident’s victims.

Mr. Binh acknowledged proposals by Canh Duong fishermen and asked representatives of ministries and sectors to revise and supplement subjects to benefit compensation rates to ensure equality and public order in coastal communes.
