Deputy PM: Vietnam strengthens its internal capacity for economic development

(VOVWORLD) -Strengthening the internal capacity, resilience, adaptability, and risk management of the economy is an inevitable and necessary requirement for the Vietnamese economy in the face of rapid and complex developments of the world situation, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai said at the closing of the 2024 Vietnam Executive Leadership Program (VELP) at Harvard University, the US, on Wednesday.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Program was successful with 10 topics, which he said are very practical and useful for ministries, agencies, localities, and businesses in Vietnam. He stressed the adoption of national policies and strategies to boost new growth drivers, as well as contribute to the implementation of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development between Vietnam and the US.
At the discussion sessions, the Deputy Prime Minister and members of the Vietnamese delegation shared Vietnam's views, vision, and development orientations, and discussed frankly and openly the challenges that Vietnam is facing in economic development. They emphasized international cooperation, taking advantage of external resources, and strengthening internal resources which is considered having a fundamental and decisive role.
