Addressing a working session in Hanoi on Monday with the Vietnam Social Insurance, Mr. Dam urged the sector, ministries, and agencies involved to work closely to reach the target of 90% health insurance coverage by 2020.
He asked the Vietnam Social Insurance to work with the Health Ministry to improve the quality of medical check-up and treatment and intensify administrative procedure reform to persuade more people to take social insurance.
Mr. Dam asked the sector to think up solutions to get more than 2 million workers under short-term contracts to be covered by social insurance.
