Addressing an online conference of the National Committee for Digital Transformation on Saturday, PM Chinh said digital transformation is a key task which must be carried out regularly and constantly, involve the entire population, and center around the people and businesses.
Digital government is a driving force leading the building of a digital economy, digital citizenship, and digital society, he said.
The PM urged greater efforts to promote e-commerce, investment cooperation and technology transfer in digital transformation, and high-quality human resource development.
At present, all enterprises in Vietnam have e-invoices while e-commerce accounts for 7.5% of the total retail value. Up to 75% of households have broadband internet access, more than 30% of small and medium-sized enterprises use digital platforms, and 85% of the population use smart phones.
