Disadvantaged people taken care of ahead of Tet
(VOVWORLD) - Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan paid a pre-Tet visit to Tay Ninh’s Party Committee and people and presented 21,500 USD for the provincial Fatherland Front to take care of local low-income households during the upcoming Tet.

Phan Dinh Trac, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs, visited Dien Bien province where he gave 100 gift sets to poor policy beneficiaries in Pom Lot commune.
Ho Chi Minh City’s Oncology Hospital has organized Tet programs including a “Zero dong market-day” where patients are offered free servings and “Spring Fair of Love” with 11 stalls of cuisine, confectionary, and fruits. The hospital worked with a group of Korean students to organize a music show for child patients and present gifts for 200 child patients.

Can Tho City’s Social Work Service Center held a program to share difficulties with and bring the Tet warmth to the elderlies and disadvantaged people. The municipal Red Cross Society held a Tet program for the poor and AO victims and presented them 2,000 gift sets.
Quang Binh’s Department of Transport coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and transport businesses to organize three Tet buses to take 125 needy workers, old people, and students to return home.
