538 electors met on Monday to cast their ballots to decide the US Presidential election.
4 Democratic electors did not vote for Hillary Clinton and Republican electors did not vote for Donald Trump. But Trump still surpassed the 270 electoral votes needed to secure a win. The final tally was Trump 304 and Clinton 228.
The Electoral College vote will be officially confirmed in a joint session of Congress on January 6th. President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence will be sworn into office on January 20th.
