Kim was the first DPRK leader to pay an official visit to Vietnam in 61 years, since Kim Il-sung first visited in 1958. Though the DPRK-USA summit concluded without a joint statement, Kim suggested the DPRK might end its nuclear and long-range missile tests, while President Trump said the US will not increase its sanctions on North Korea.
