(VOVWORLD) - The US will have to pay a dear price if they continue their joint military drill with South Korea, the Korean Central News Agency have cited from a spokesperson for North Korean troops based in the truce village of Panmunjom.

The warning came amid 10 days of Ulchi Freedom Guardian military exercises between, which train 50,000 South Korean troops and 17,500 from the United States. Pyongyang views the drills as a highly provocative rehearsal for an invasion despite Seoul and Washington earlier describing the drills as defensive in nature.
On Monday, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said that Russia and China back the joint diplomatic efforts to ease tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
