(VOVworld) -  The 2014 Earth Hour campaign will begin at 8pm on March 29.

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday on Vietnam’s response to the annual campaign, Deputy Administrator of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Energy Department, Nguyen Khac Tho, said that the drive is to raise public awareness of saving electricity and alleviating climate change threats.
Vietnam first joined the Australia initiated campaign in 2009, during which it saved 140,000 kwh and another 400,000 khw last year.
