People in these two cities support federalization and local law enforcement agencies back the protestors. The same day, acting Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk agreed to revise the Constitution, including decentralizing power to localities and guaranteeing the protection of the Russian language.
A large scale demonstration took place in Odessa on Sunday to protest the government’s military activities and demand the release of more than 100 pro-Russian supporters. So far, 67 people, who were arrested on May 2, have been freed.
