(VOVworld) – The Ebola epidemic in West Africa has become a global issue as the death toll and new infections continue to rise.

According to a report released by the World Health Organisation by last Friday Ebola has killed 2,811 people of approximately 5,900 infected cases. The death toll increased 181 from September 14-18. Liberia is the most affected country with more than 3,000 infected cases and nearly 1,600 deaths, while the number of new cases in Guinea and Sierra Leone is rising rapidly.
