Egypt, Israel discuss resuming Middle East peace process
(VOVWORLD) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi talked by phone Wednesday about resuming the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks.

The two leaders also discussed preparations for a meeting of the Quartet Group - Egypt, Jordan, France, and Germany - the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. Shoukry also spoke by phone with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki.
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh condemned Israel for refusing visa renewal for staff of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights staff in Palestine.
