In Cairo and Giza province, protesters waved banners bearing the images of Morsi, shouted against former Military Commander Al-Sisi, and raised a four-finger symbol referring to Rabaa al-Adaweya in Cairo, a venue of the Muslim during 50 days before security forces violently dispersed them in mid-August, killing hundreds of people. In Ain Shams district, supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood clashed with local residents. The Muslim also attacked police forces in Giza province.
The protests occurred in response to an appeal by Muslim Brotherhood-led National Alliance to Support Legitimacy (NASL) which consists of 34 political parties and pro-Morsi Muslim movement. Since last year’s political upheaval toppling Morsi’s administration, NASL has launched protests almost every day to demand the reinstatement for Morsi.
