Egypt wishes to enhance economic and trade cooperation with the ASEAN
(VOVworld) – A workshop on economic and investment cooperation between Egypt and ASEAN was held on Saturday in Cairo.

The event was organized by the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in Cairo. Vietnamese ambassador to Egypt Do Hoang Long said the formation of the ASEAN Community is the great effort of all the countries over the past 50 years. This is a process of sharing information and learning to form an effective ASEAN Community. Ambassador Long said the workshop is an opportunity for ASEAN countries to share information and update Egyptian enterprises about the situation in ASEAN to further boost trade between the two sides.
Chairman of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs Mounir Zahran said ASEAN is a dynamic economic community. ASEAN’s experience on management, economic development and attracting investment are great lessons for Egypt, especially as Egyptian government is implementing the strategy of Egypt Vision until 2030.
