This is his third visit to China since he took office in June, 2014, at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. President El-Sisi will attend the BRICS summit from Sunday to Tuesday. The two leaders will discuss measures to boost bilateral cooperation at the sidelines of the summit. El-Sisi is also scheduled to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to discuss possibilities of resuming flights between the two countries after the disaster in Sinai back in October, 2015.
After the BRICS summit, on Wednesday, President El-Sisi will embark on a two-day visit to Vietnam, marking the first visit of an Egyptian President to Vietnam since the two countries established diplomatic relationship in 1963.
