(VOVworld)- The international exhibition on power saving products and green energies, Enertec Expo 2012, opened in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday.

Jointly held by the city’s Department of Industry and Trade and the HCMC Power Corporation, the exhibition features nearly 100 enterprises showcasing their power saving, environmentally friendly and renewable energy products at 120 stands. It is an opportunity for domestic enterprises to promote their high-tech products to consumers, expands their market and help overseas firms seek out new partners. "Ho Chi Minh City highly values this exhibition. It features many products and advanced technologies that help the public to be better aware of how to save energy. The exhibition will also contribute to the city’s strategy on green energy use" said Le Manh Ha,Vice Chairman of HCM City People’s Committee.

During the exhibition, which is primarily to promote the development of new energies, renewable energies and energy saving products, several workshops on the country’s power strategy for 2011 to 2020 will be held, mainly focusing on power saving products and ways of saving energy.
