EU regrets Iran's step back from nuclear deal
(VOVWORLD) -The European Union’s foreign affairs Chief Josep Borrell said on Monday he regretted Iran’s latest announcement to step back from commitments to a 2015 nuclear deal with six major powers.

Borrell said that the EU will rely on the assessment of the International Atomic Energy Agency to check Iran’s commitments to the nuclear deal, after Iran said on Sunday it would abandon limitations on enriching uranium. Borrel stressed that full implementation of the Nuclear Deal by all is now more important than ever, for regional stability and global security.
The same day, a spokesperson for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the UK government was extremely concerned about Iran’s announcement saying the UK was in urgent discussion with the parties about the next steps. Regarding tensions between the United States and Iran, the spokesman said there are now many international conventions aimed at preventing the destruction of cultural heritages after US President Donald Trump threatened to attack 52 Iranian sites, if Tehran attacks an American citizen or property.
