EU, US may reach deal on steel, aluminum tariffs soon
(VOVWORLD) - Germany believes there is a chance that the European Union and the United States could reach a deal on US tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, its Economy Minister said on Monday.

During his first visit to the US as Germany’s Economy Minister, Peter Altmaier said his talks with US officials took place in a very good and constructive atmosphere, with both sides seeing an opportunity to find a solution that avoids a serious trade conflict between the world’s biggest economy and its trading partners. The two side will continue their discussion in the next few days.
