(VOVworld) – The EU will strengthen methods to deal with the on-going migrant crisis, including deporting more illegal immigrants.

Following a meeting in Luxembourg on Thursday, EU interior ministers said they will increase the personnel of EU agencies in charge of resolving the crisis, adding 60 officials to the EU border co-operation agency “Frontex” and 60 to the European Police Office and the European Asylum Support Office.  
The ministers agreed to increase the budget for handling the crisis to 400 million EUR and discussed a French proposal to establish a EU joint patrol force to secure Europe’s external border.
