Ever Given ship partially refloated but bow still stuck
(VOVWORLD) - Almost a week aground, the giant container ship Ever Given was partially refloated Monday morning, raising hopes the shortest shipping route between Europe and Asia will soon be re-opened for a huge backlog of ships.

The 400-meter-long Ever Given, which is sailing under the flag of Panama, became jammed diagonally across a southern section of the canal in high winds more than five days ago, halting shipping traffic in one of the world’s busiest waterways.
Nearly 370 vessels are waiting to transit the canal including dozens of container ships and bulk carriers.
