(VOVworld) – A 5-member executive board of the Labor Federation of Truong Sa island district made its debut on Wednesday. The federation will have 4 local trade unions – one in the mainland and three others in Truong Sa Lon, Sinh Ton, and Song Tu Tay islands.

In his launching address, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Tran Van Ly called on Truong Sa Labor Federation to closely work with local authorities to help laborers, develop policies to offer the best possible support for fishermen who participate in fishing in Hoang Sa and Truong Sa fishing grounds. Truong Sa Labor Federation is asked to join efforts to develop Truong Sa comprehensively in economics, society, security, and defense.
