(VOVworld) – An exhibition entitled “Vo Nguyen Giap, the General Commander” opened Friday at the Museum of Military History in Hanoi. The event displays nearly 300 photos and artifacts portraying the life and career of the great General and his contributions to national liberation, construction, and defense. Objects on display are divided into 6 topics featuring the General’s teenage years, his time during the resistance wars against French colonialists from 1945 to 1954 and US imperialists from 1954 to 1975, the General during the cause of national construction and defense from 1975 to present, the General with international friends, and the General in his daily life.
