Exhibition on global support for Vietnam’s struggle for national reunification opens
(VOVworld) – 130 photos, documents, and artifacts showing international support for Vietnam during its struggle for national reunification from 1954 to 1975 are on display at an exhibition that opened on Friday at Hanoi’s Vietnam National Museum of History.
On display includes a photo of James Morrison, a US citizen who burnt himself to protest the Vietnam War

Items on display highlight the support of 50 countries from 5 continents, international organizations, and conferences for Vietnam’s resistance war of national independence and reunification. Tran Thi Thuy is deputy head of Display Section of Hanoi’s Vietnam National Museum of History:
"This collection is of great historical, cultural and human significance as it introduces visitors to global peace lovers’ support for Vietnam’s struggle for independence and reunification both physically and spiritually. Means of support varied from peaceful rallies and financial contributions, to blood donations for the Vietnamese people."
The exhibition will run until July.
