Mr. Linh said external information is significant channel to popularize The Party and State’s diplomatic activities, and promote Vietnam’s images to the world. Mr. Linh, who is also head of the award’s organizing board, said: “The award highlights the role of external information, showing the Party and State’s policies and guidelines as well as Vietnam’s demands in new period. The award encourages reporters and journalists to produce more high-quality works, create links between internal and external information and between domestic and international communication agencies to promote the country’s images to the world”.  

The 2^nd National External Information Service Awards cover 5 communication forms, including printed, online and photo newspapers, radio and television. The entries are created in Vietnamese and other foreign languages for foreigners or overseas Vietnamese and are broadcast on the mass media from January 1 to December 31, 2015.

The award ceremony will be held next May.
