Female parliamentarians more active in National Assembly operations
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on Wednesday attended a meeting to review the activities of Vietnam’s Female Parliamentarian Group.

Speaking in the event on Wednesday, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong, who heads the Group, said the Female Parliamentarian Group was established in May 2008 and has gone through three National Assembly terms.
They have participated more actively in various parliamentarian activities and made initiatives on gender equality to the Party and State, said Vice Chairwoman Phong.
The female deputies make up 26.7% of the total number of National Assembly deputies.
