Festival featuring craft villages opens

(VOVworld) – A festival opened on Saturday at the Vietnam National Village of Ethnic Culture and Tourism to introduce Vietnamese craft villages and ethnic specialties. Nguyen Dinh Loi, Deputy Director of the Village said the event is aimed at promoting the traditional products and cuisine of each locality throughout Vietnam: “Visitors will be introduced to different craft villages, involve in the making of handicraft products, and make and enjoy typical ethnic dishes.”

A program to make square sticky rice cakes as part of the festival was held the same day. Organizers presented 2,000 Tet gifts to war invalids, orphaned children, poor households, and Agent Orange victims in Hanoi, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, and Bac Ninh. The festival will continue until February 14.
