(VOVworld) - The International Football Federation (FIFA) website has posted an article lauding the achievements of Vietnam’s futsal and U-19 teams, said Vietnamese Football Federation (VFF) on Tuesday.
Vietnam defeated Japan in the quarter final of the AFC Futsal Championship in 2016, earning a ticket to the World Futsal Cup. U-19 Vietnam won a ticket to the U-20 World Cup this year. FIFA said qualifying for a FIFA tournament is a major achievement. Many new contenders have emerged in recent years, among them, Vietnam, who twice in the past year made history by qualifying for two FIFA competitions for the first time.
