Agreeing with seminar participants that film festivals will encourage high-quality film productions, Ngo Phuong Lan, head of the Cinematography Department, said film festivals play a key role in promoting and opening a new way of development for Vietnamese cinematography.
Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Cecilia Piccioni said the Italian government has developed a comprehensive strategy to promote Italian films abroad, especially in ASEAN countries. She expected that there will be more film screening exchanges between Vietnam and Italy.
