(VOVWORLD) -A film week celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Outline of Vietnamese Culture, the first platform on culture launched by the Communist Party of Vietnam, opened in Hanoi on Saturday.

The event which will run through March 3 nationwide is chaired by the Cinema Department in coordination with the departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of cities and provinces and the National Cinema Centre.
The selected films feature President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s land, people and culture.
Among the films to be shown at the National Cinema Centre in Hanoi include “Bình minh đỏ” (Red Dawn) and “Nhà tiên tri” (Prophet), “Hồ Chí Minh, năm 1946” (Ho Chi Minh, the year of 1946) and “Những bước đi ngoại giao và một cuộc chiến không mong muốn” (Diplomatic steps and an unexpected war).
The documentary “Văn hoá soi đường cho quốc dân đi” (Culture lights the way for the people to go) and the feature film “Red Dawn” were screened at the opening ceremony.
