This is the first smart factory in Vietnam to be automated using 5G mobile services with its advantages of high speed, low latency, and support for multiple connections. Testing involved deploying 12 applications, including augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR), code scanning, data processing, product testing, and Dynamics 365 for live streaming.
Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong city People’s Committee, said, "I hope that this project will be expanded to other businesses and agencies in Vietnam, creating a steppingstone for the development of digital infrastructure, telecommunications services, and high-tech industrial production.”
Based on test results, Viettel and Pegatron will complete a product suite of 5G Private Network services for smart factories, including networking equipment and related applications. The two will cooperate in developing 5G technology, terminal equipment, research, and production, with the goal of popularizing 5G services in Vietnam.
