(VOVworld) – A seminar on the activities of the south central coastal region’s Fishery Society opened on Friday in Nha Trang City. The delegates hailed the society’s efforts to protect fishermen’s legitimate rights and interests as well as assure their activities, contributing to protecting national sea and islands sovereignty.

Participants representing cities and provinces from Da Nang to Binh Thuan proposed provincial Labor Federations devise appropriate policies to train fishery societies’ staff and provide them with expenditures to better fulfill their tasks. They called for more specific instructions and cohesive guidelines regarding fishery societies across Vietnam.
